Questions we get asked every batch

Do I need prior experience to apply?
Not for most tracks. Website Development, Digital Marketing, and the Starter tiers of most programs are designed for beginners. For Machine Learning, AI, Android, and iOS, we recommend at least basic programming knowledge — but no professional experience is needed. We'll point you to prep resources during onboarding.
Is this a work-from-home internship?
100% remote. All tasks, mentorship sessions, and reviews happen online. You need a laptop and a stable internet connection. We're open to students across India and internationally — your location doesn't matter.
How do I get my certificate and how is it verified?
On completing all required project tasks, you receive a digitally-signed PDF certificate with a unique QR code. Employers or anyone else can scan the code to verify your name, program, duration, and completion date on our verification portal. The certificate also links directly to your GitHub project repository.
Can I do this alongside college? What's the time commitment?
Yes — most interns are full-time students. Expect to commit 8–12 hours per week for the Starter tier and 12–18 hours per week for Pro/Elite (factoring in mentor sessions). Deadlines are weekly but we build in buffer for exam periods.
What happens if I miss a weekly deadline?
You get one automatic 3-day grace extension per month. After that, late submissions are accepted but earn reduced points. We understand life happens — reach out to your mentor and we'll find a solution. Consistent non-submission after 3 weeks does result in program deactivation, but you can re-apply for the next batch.
What is the refund policy for paid tiers?
All payments are final and non-refundable. This includes fees for paid internship tiers, setup fees, and any partially used periods — regardless of whether tasks have been started. No refunds are issued under any circumstances except where expressly required by applicable law. By completing payment you confirm you have read and accepted this policy.
How does the Campus Ambassador program work?
After successfully completing any program, you're eligible to apply as a Campus Ambassador for your college. Ambassadors promote VK Interns Hub at their institutions, earn a commission for every successful referral, and receive an official Ambassador certificate. Learn more on our About page.
